Event Information

Sunday, Jan 19, 2025 at 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST

Please join us for an informal 4WD Driving, Spotting and Safety training event.

There is no fee or for this fun and exciting event. We're happy to accept online donations that help us build and maintain this trail system.

Volunteers will help others learn valuable skills starting from our meeting location, and progressing through the day on  the trails.  We will be using moderately challenging trails - challenging enough to learn and apply:

  • Airing down - how low and why
  • Two Way Radios - etiquette, safety
  • Basic Recovery Tips and Tricks
  • Picking the best line for your rig
  • Crawling vs Momentum

We will be using trails that are rated as BLUE. We ****recommend*** that your rig should have 33" tires, a winch and a locking differential for this ride. Please check this link for a list of required equipment. All requirements are under the GREEN trail rating. These are BLUE trails. You must meet the minimum requirements for BLUE trails, also. If you are missing ONE requirement, please email Mike at president@mohawk4x4.org for more information or questions.

Our guides and volunteers will help our target audience navigate our trails safely. Our goal for this is twofold. We want to have a good time (always!) on trails where we will all learn something.

As usual, the confirmation email will provide the meeting location and details to those that sign up.

* We have voided the rig limit of 10 rigs I specified in the initial email. We know we will have enough volunteers in the group.

Cancellation policy

Email Mike at president@mohawk4x4.org if you need to cancel.
